Mike dives into the social network and makes it out alive.

The Ryan Calvano-directed video for Open Mike Eagle's "Celebrity Reduction Prayer" takes aim at, well, the notion of celebrity in the modern age—whether it be on the social network, or on the pages of the tabloids—a visuals-heavy visual that matches well with Mike's rapid-fire flow addressing similar concerns. The song's tied together with some seriously beautiful production from Oddisee; it's from the recent Mello Music Group compilation Persona. "I made this song as a thing to say to myself when I find myself acting weird around famous people," Mike explained to FADER in an email. "It also works on bosses, exes, and people you have crushes on. My dumb American brain is full of idol worship so I needed a strategy."
