An umlaut and a hyphen aren't the only signs that Jay Z was feeling nostalgic for his B-sides concert, hosted by Tidal, in New York City last night. The rapper brought out stalwarts Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek, Jay Electronica and Young Jeezy for performances of back catalogue gems like "You, Me, Him & Her"; not to mention, he also fired out a rare freestyle, which you can watch below.

Freestyling may be a throwback for Jay, but his subject matter is anything but: taking aim firmly at his Tidal rivals YouTube and Spotify, he hits back directly at criticism the streaming platform has faced, pointing to the wealth of Apple and Spotify and claiming it's politics as usual. He also pays respects to Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and Freddie Gray, and during the concert held a moment of silence for B.B. King, who passed away earlier this week.
