Rihanna and DC Comics Spar Over The Rights To The Name “Robyn”

“Bitch better have my trademark.”

Rihanna is embroiled in a legal battle with DC Comics over her first name, Robyn. According to Billboard, the star wants to trademark a Robyn brand of “on-line non-downloadable general feature magazines.” She initiated this process last year. But recently, DC Comics filed opposing paperwork on the grounds that the name Robyn is too similar to the name of Robin, that guy who sometimes shows up in Batman movies. The company suggests that the closeness of these names could "cause confusion, cause mistake, or deceive the public," though superhero fans running around with Rihanna magazines seems like a win for everyone.
