Watch Vince Staples And Tyler, The Creator Trade Freestyles

The two rappers had some fun on Real Late With Rosenberg.

Vince Staples is in the midst of promoting his upcoming Summertime ’06 album, so naturally he stopped by Hot 97’s Real Late With Rosenberg to discuss the new project. Coincidentally, Tyler, the Creator happened to be in the building as well, which lead to an impromptu co-interview. After that, Staples freestyled over Outkast’s “Atliens,” while Tyler took a crack at a Lil Kim’s “No Time.” Rosenberg declared, “no matter what happens, the result is good,” and he was right: Tyler managed to covered threesomes, the NBA finals, and Sandra Bullock during a two-minute span. He even squeezed in an Earl Sweatshirt-like joke—“everybody just hate the new shit, they never listen / cause I’m not sad, don’t cry about my dad.”

Staples has been busy recently, appearing on The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore and releasing a new song last night, “Get Paid.”
