Apple Music recruited a lot of stars to host their own special shows on Beats 1 Radio. This group includes Dr. Dre, Pharrell, Q Tip, Soulection, Disclosure, and Jaden Smith. But the biggest coup for the young streaming service was landing Drake.
When Apple Music launched at the end of last month, one senior executive noted, "we're kind of hoping you miss Drake's first show." But talking with Zane Lowe on air today, the rapper announced that his debut as a host will take place tomorrow, July 11, at 6 PM EST. Anticipation was already high, and the rapper added to the excitement earlier today by Tweeting, "That radio show you don't want to miss... you know I had to let exclusives ring off."
