Physical Therapy Announces New Project On 1080p, Shares “Teddy Bear” Single

The Berlin-based producer takes an imaginary trip to New Jersey for a fresh collection of house and disco-inspired vibes.

Previously prescribing non-drowsy electronic beats on his own label Allergy Season, Berlin-based, New Jersey-raised producer Physical Therapy today announces a new release with a twist on Vancouver label 1080p. Physical Therapy Presents... Kirk the Flirt & Peter Pressure is a concept record in which he imagines his return to New Jersey where he links up with two local DJs called Kirk the Flirt & Peter Pressure to explore upbeat house and disco loops. "Teddy Bear," premiering below, features a sample of a group of girls chanting a simple playground rhyme. With a little 4/4 and some shuffling percussion for bounce, Physical Therapy and pals turn a childhood memory into a bumping club beat.

"I first met Kirk the Flirt and Peter Pressure after seeing them DJ at Club One West in Englewood, New Jersey," Physical Therapy told The FADER via email. "After many pestering emails they agreed to send me some of the demos they had worked on over the years. I was amazed at the strange house and disco sound they had created, dozens of old tracks just sitting around. It was a bit overwhelming, I forwarded some of the tracks on to Richard at 1080p to help digest. 'Teddy Bear' is one of my favorites of theirs, a swinging house track but with some signature Kirk & Peter strangeness." 1080p will release Physical Therapy Presents... Kirk the Flirt & Peter Pressure on October 23.
