Earlier this summer, NME announced that it would become "a brilliant new free weekly magazine" in September. The publication landed Rihanna as the first cover star of its new era. NME's interview with the singer promises to cover her "long-awaited eighth studio album... her thoughts on Taylor Swift, life in the public eye, working with Kanye West, feminism and the fallout from her 'Bitch Better Have My Money' video."

The issue hits stores tomorrow, but snippets of the conversation are already circulating the internet. According to PopJustice, Rihanna told NME that her next full-length still isn't finished. "To me it's never done until it’s done," she noted. "Until the final moment."

That final moment is currently dependent on Kanye. "We just have to wait to get back in the studio together," she said. "His schedule and mine are totally opposite right now, but I think this month we’ll be back in the studio."

Rihanna continued, "I have so many songs I love—and they're so different—that it's hard to actually put them all on the same album." Check out 14 songs that were written for Rihanna but recorded by other people.
