This new video for "Avalon," a self-possessed future-pop track off Abyss X's brand new Echoes EP (below), is goosebumps-inducing for both its eeriness and its beauty. Mexico City-based video artist Manuel D Lira shot the footage during a photoshoot that was too good to be left at just that. "While we were shooting, it became very clear to me that I needed to stop taking photos and start filming this fairy entity that kept dancing around my house like no one was watching," Lira wrote in an email to The FADER, explaining Abyss' ecstatic twisting and torquing. "It was one of those moments where a creative group of people come together to create something unexpected and magical." The result indeed is unexpected and magical; see for yourself above.
