WatchTheDuck Call On T.I. For “Making Luv To The Beat”

The Alabama trio’s Pharrell, T.I., Tricky, and Steve Aoki executive produced album drops November 20.

Atlanta-by-way-of-Alabama trio WatchTheDuck have called on a robust crew of collaborators to contribute to their forthcoming EP The Trojan Horse. To name a few: Pharrell, T.I., Tricky, and Steve Aoki are all listed as executive producers, while other additional guests include ScHoolboy Q and Afrojack. And if this first single off the project—"Making Luv To The Beat—is any indication, it will defy genre (and probably destroy a couple of dance floors, too).

Featuring heart-racing EDM production, an oozing soul-inflected hook, and a double-time verse from T.I., it pulls from a lot of worlds and should appeal to anyone who has ever caught themselves dancing in the club like no one's watching. "The single was inspired by those moments when you get lost in good music and act like no one’s watching you," WTD told The FADER. "At that point you're not just dancing, you're making love to the beat.” Amen.

The Trojan Horse EP is out this November 20 on Dim Mak and Epic; WatchTheDuck will follow-up with a full-length record in 2016.
