Soundtrack Your Next Date Night With Lyrica Anderson And Chris Brown’s “Faded To Sade”

Hello drops Friday.

October 29, 2015

Lyrica Anderson's first come up was behind the curtains, as a songwriter to the stars (Beyoncé, Tinashe, Elijah Blake). This Friday, she hopes to take a step into the spotlight with the release an EP of her own, Hello, which is slated to feature high-profile features from Problem, Wiz Khalifa, YG, The Game, and Chris Brown.

Breezy's contribution, a gauzy slow-burner titled "Faded to Sade," premieres today on The FADER. The premise should be clear—and perhaps relatable: We can match a blunt up, listening to Sade/ Do just what you wanna/ Echoes in the attic but we fucking in the basement, Chris Brown sings. As for Lyrica, she's on the same wave: Let's light another blunt up, getting faded to this Sade/ Can I kiss it for a moment?/ I'll relax my body.

"I will forever have love and respect for Breezy," said Lyrica, describing the song's conception in an email to The FADER. "It was 6 a.m. when Chris played me this crazy record he wrote and I fell in love with it right away! I asked if I could have it, and he said that I could. I'm not gonna lie, I was more than excited!"

Listen to "Faded to Sade" below. Hello drops Friday, and is available for pre-order now.
