Yesterday, author of the Harry Potter series J.K. Rowling responded to the casting of Noma Dumezweni as Hermione Granger in the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in excitement. When Rowling tweeted that "Rowling loves black Hermione," the internet rejoiced and started uploading their own black Hermione fan-art.
Their imaginations didn't stop at Hermione though. Tagging their dream castings with the hashtag '#BlackHarryPotter,' fans uploaded pictures of black celebrities with the Harry Potter roles they were destined for. Our favorites include FKA Twigs as Luna Lovegood, Morgan Freeman as Dumbledore, Les Twins as the Weasley Twins, and Jidenna as Gilderoy Lockhart.
