Because we continue to be stoked about FADER issue 101 (Zayn's on the cover, remember?), we brought out the big guns to celebrate with us in style. A crowd of FADER fam and friends piled into LES bar Avenida Cantina for some free-flowing Budweisers and good vibes. N.Y.C. mainstays Dirty South Joe and Jubilee started out the night right with their bumping DJ sets before FADER 101 star Juliana Huxtable took over the booth to spin some serious jams—everyone was talking about how incredible she was. We squished together in front of the stage to see another fave from the issue: Aussie drag queen slash pop star Courtney Act, who fully slayed Bieber's recent hit "Love Yourself," and then delved into her own hits like "Kaleidoscope." Before we could even gather ourselves post-Courtney Act's enviable dance moves, Juliana Huxtable resumed her DJ throne so we could dance the rest of the night away in true FADER fashion. It was lit, sincerely. Check out photos below to see for yourself.
