Nasty Nigel, of the World's Fair collective, is striking out on his own. Today the Queens rapper revealed that he is working toward the release of his debut solo project, an EP with the indulgent title El Utimo Playboy: La Vida Y Los Tiempos De Nigel Rubirosa. With that news he also shared the project's lead single, "Groundhog Day," an icy cut about his New York-specific habit of passing nights out on the town.

"Growing up in New York and trying to figure out the forever changing city, you end up picking up a couple perks. Now, the perks may not be the healthiest for the body and mind, but they temporarily fix the immediate issue at hand," he explained in an email to The FADER, hinting at his nightly custom and consumption. "Rent isn't cheap in New York but as long as I know who I know, that bar and strip club stool is."
