Bun B calls in to talk about Vernon Maxwell’s panic room.

April 26, 2016

It's the most wonderful time of year: the NBA playoffs! To mark the occasion, The FADER is rolling out a short-run podcast that'll drop, starting today, once a week until we have ourselves a new champion. It's called The FADEAWAY, and it'll feature some of our favorite writers, smart people, and musicians talking (mostly) hoops.

On our first episode, The FADER's Amos Barshad and Joseph Patel bring on New York Magazine's Rembert Browne to catch up on some of the playoff action so far. They hit on the Spurs and the Cavs efficient sweep jobs, skip all Pacers/Raptors chat in favor of a dissection of Drake's latest cover art, and do a bit of commiserating over Steph Curry's knee. And then: the legendary Bun B calls in to talk about his beloved Rockets and share all kinds of good stuff, including anecdotes about Vernon Maxwell's panic room and Shaq's favorite rapper.

Take a listen above, and make sure to subscribe to The FADEAWAY on Soundcloud and on iTunes as well.
