Harrison Shares “So Far From Home,” A Groovy New Bop From His Upcoming Album

With "So Far From Home," Toronto producer Harrison improves on his already stellar track record of collaborating with a curiously cool range of fellow Canadians by linking up with Young Guv (Ben Cook of Fucked Up). A simple piano loop morphs into a funky soundtrack for Guv's lustful rasps. It's a delightful realization of Harrison's retro-minded vision, brought into 2016 with gleaming, chirruping synths. And, as Harrison wrote in an email to The FADER, it started as something like an interlude.

"This track was originally a short 30 second snippet," said Harrison. "I sent it to Ben Cook (Young Guv) for consideration and he sent me back some buttery vocals the following day. I knew immediately that we had to build and expand on the track to turn it into an album cut. He absolutely nailed it. It's safe to say that this is my favorite track on the record."

Checkpoint Titanium comes out September 9 on Last Gang Records. Here's the tracklist:
1. Intro
2. Vertigo (feat. a l l i e)
3. It's Okay I Promise (feat. Clairmont The Second)
