With his latest track "Like A Chump," Atlanta rapper Reese joins Oneohtrix Point Never and Celestial Trax as the latest artist to make contemporary work out of nu-metal. Limp Bizkit's 1999 track "Nookie," a smash hit and a generation-defining track, is the lyrical basis for most of Reese's version, though he brings a fire verse of his own and revamped instrumental courtesy of Maticlee.

In an interview with i-D, Reese discussed the concept of his TRL EP, out soon via Fool's Gold, and how he hoped nostalgia will lead him to sonic innovation. "One day I was thinking about how shit used to be cool when we were growing up. Everything was creative and the music was better to me; It's the time where most things I'm fond of flourished. Everything sounds the same now, so I wanted to come up with some totally new sounds."
