It's the first single from her debut album You Know What It's Like, due October 9 on Blackest Ever Black.

Australian artist Carla dal Forno started out making underground post-punk in Melbourne, but now lives in Berlin, where she produces psychedelic, dub-sheathed folk. On her debut solo single "Fast Moving Cars" on experimental label Blackest Ever Black, she introduced the world to her slow-moving sound, where her voice grazes the surface of her murky arrangements like rain smeared across a window.

With the release of her new song "What You Gonna Do Now?," dal Forno shares the news that she's set to release her debut album You Know What It's Like on October 9. As for the song itself, it's a disarmingly peaceful-sounding revenge fantasy, with a video that wanders Berlin's grey streets. "This really was one of those songs that just kind of wrote itself," dal Forno explained to The FADER over email. "I came up with the chords on a guitar, and then when I started singing along, the words 'what you gonna do now...' came out. Imagine being able to have that much control and power over someone and enact revenge...It's not something I'd ever want, but it's fun to mess around with that concept in a song."
