An Incomplete List Of Solange’s Best Style Cosigns

Meet some of the indie fashion brands she’s put shine on.

October 04, 2016

As someone who spends the majority of their day hunting for new designers in the oversaturated world of fashion, Solange makes me feel like a goddamn amateur. She's like some kind of omniscient style goddess, capable of plucking even the most nascent designer out of relative obscurity and bringing them under her wing. She sports their clothes on Instagram, stocks them in her Saint Heron shop, and has her dancers wear them in her music videos. I thought a compilation of said brands, for the general good, was honestly overdue. So I made one. Here it is.

11. Rosie Assoulin

The overinflated proportions of Rosie Assoulin's work have made die-hard fans of style arbiters like The Man Repeller's Leandra Medine and, yes, Solange.

And what would an independent brand roster be without the inclusion of New York avant-garde mainstays Eckhaus Latta? Solange is a fan of theirs as well, attending their Dev Hynes-scored show in New York last season.
