Dark0’s New Video Is A Creepy CGI Love Letter To London

The U.K. producer releases his new EP Oceana this week.

Londoner Dark0 has graduated from "instrumental grime producer" territory to the point where he's on the verge of releasing his first E.P. through XL Recordings. The Oceana E.P. sees Dark0 retain his outsider grime sound while also moving into more pop-orientated territory. It's out on Friday, October 28, and features the lust-filled ode "Forever."

The computer-generated "Forever" video, premiering above, feels familiar yet otherworldly at the same time. The sugary vocals are reflected in the fantastical visuals created by producer Sybil Montet de Doria. However, the darkness undercutting the production is present in the creeping sense that there's more to what you're seeing than meets the eye.

Speaking to The FADER via email, Dark0 said: "The video represents the unconditional love I have for the city I've lived in forever, but knowing it's growing ever more one-sided. It's like that toxic relationship you just play along with because you don't know any better."

Dark0 performs live in Paris and London this week. Click here for more information. Check out the "Forever" video above.
