J Balvin's conquest to break records has now gone far beyond the Billboard charts: Yesterday, the Colombian reggaeton star became the first Latin urban performer to reach (and now surpass) 1 billion video views on Youtube. The winner? His four-and-a-half minute video for "Ay vamos" from the 2014 studio album reissue, La Familia B Sides. The track was also the 31-year-old's first No. 1 single on the Hot Latin Songs chart.

According to Billboard, this makes Balvin the 3rd Latino artist to break 1 billion on Youtube after Enrique Iglesias ("Bailando") and Romeo Santos ("Propuesta indecente"). Check out the record-breaking clip above.
