Jazz Cartier has shared a new song called "Tempted," and the Toronto rapper seems to be laying claim to 2017 with this early January premiere on Beats 1 Radio. As Cartier jumps between crooning and spitting about his search for sex in a club, you might recognize the phrase "tempted to touch" from Rupee's 2004 hit. But this classically steely new track, which is taken from his upcoming project Fleurever, doesn't ride rap's current wave of dancehall-inspired directions in the slightest. "[I'm] just trying to expand my sound and reach as many people as [possible]," Cartier said of Fleurever when he spoke to Zane Lowe for the song's premiere today.
