Musical polymath Kirk Knight has dropped the meditative Black Noise, his debut instrumental LP. As a driving sonic force behind several Joey Bada$$ and Pro Era cuts, Knight's skills are well-established. Here, however, the rapper-producer offers a smooth 11-track project packed with sundry, head-nodding beats.

"I wanted to drop an instrumental album that created a soundscape of my production," Knight explained to The FADER over email. "I grew up listening to J Dilla, Madlib and Flying Lotus, and I've always wanted to contribute to the culture of instrumental albums."
