Smino has shared his new video for "Anita," the first visual from his debut album blkswn released in March. In the clip, the St. Louis rapper catches feelings instantaneously though a chance encounter at a bar. Together, Smino and his newfound love interest (played by Jean Deaux, who also directed the video) speed through the desert in an old-school Mustang, hike around Joshua Tree, and share intimate moments as the sun sets.

"I wanted it to be on some black love shit," Smino said in a press release along with the video. "But I didn't have a particular thought or storyline." Deaux came with the narrative for the visual, adding, "I knew he wanted to do something lighthearted, warm, and something that was an example of our adoration for each other."
