Choose Your Own Adventure In The 360 Video For Will Joseph Cook’s “Hands”

The track is taken from U.K singer’s debut album Sweet Dreamer.

April 18, 2017

U.K. singer-songwriter Will Joseph Cook makes technicolored indie-pop filled with teenage wonder and buoyancy. On his new single “Hands,” Cook uses this unlikely bright palette to write about depression. Over blurry synths, he recounts the pain of trying to make sense of his faceless demons. In the 360 video for the song, premiering above, there are five different versions of Will trapped within an illusory maze — as one version remains huddled in the floor defeated, another chases around an endless loop in hope of escape. “Hands” is about depression, but the lyrics are very expressionist, I’m still finding parts to it myself,” Will Joseph Cook told The FADER over email. “It started out as a demo I made on my own for fun, but looking at it now I think it gives a much needed breathing space to the tracklisting [of the album]."
