The Video For Mabel’s Stunning New Single “Bedroom” Is A Boy-Free Zone

The U.K. R&B singer brings slumber party vibes.

The latest single from Mabel deals with a classic Mabel subject: secret, sort-of-toxic love. But unlike mellow previous singles like "Know Me Better" and "Thinking of You," the 21-year-old London singer is angry, singing about smashing guitars and breaking glasses over a springy, synth-warm beat. In the video, she keeps it classy, hanging with her girls rather than acting on her destructive fantasies. "The 'Bedroom' video was so much fun to make," Mabel wrote to The FADER in an email. "I didn't want there to be a male love interest as that would be too obvious, and the song is so literal. It has a lot of dark undertones which I thought was an interesting contrast. It felt empowering to have an all-female cast!" Watch the video exclusively above.
