The release of SZA's debut album Ctrl is just days away, and the TDE artist recently stopped by The Breakfast Club to discuss the upcoming project. During the 53-minute interview, SZA talks about past relationships and her development as an artist.
"I never really talked about relationships in a direct way," SZA said at the beginning of the interivew. "I used to be very metaphorical, very figurative, and also just kind of scared to talk about the way I felt in a literal way."
The singer also explained the emotions she was going through when she was "buggin' out" on Twitter over her frustration with the album's delayed release. "I'm just hella childish," says SZA, with a smile. "It's like halfway through I felt someone was expecting from me, and I was like, 'I don't know how to meet expectations. I'm just a human being.'"
