Awaken, My Love!, the new album from Donald Glover a.k.a. Childish Gambino, was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on June 29. It's the second full-length Childish Gambino album to obtain the certification for 500,000 sales in the United States, after the sophomore project Because The Internet.

Just before concluding his set at Governor's Ball in New York City, Glover strongly hinted that the next Gambino album will be his last. In a subsequent interview with The Huffington Post, he said that Childish Gambino's music wasn't "necessary" anymore: “There’s nothing worst than like a third sequel, like a third movie and we’re like, ‘again?’” he said.
