Visiting the Rinse account on SoundCloud now leads to a broken link, and a message: "A report has been sent to our tech team, and they’re looking into the problem."

"Shame to lose so many uploads, but life moves on," @RinseFM tweeted. "And having backups helps."

Last year, SoundCloud affirmed that it would still take down copyright content "at the request of creators," after the company claimed it had reached an agreement with licensing groups to allow such material in DJ mixes.

A report in TechCrunch claimed that SoundCloud only was enough funding to stay afloat for 50 days. The company has pushed back in a statement saying that a recent round of layoffs had "put us on our path to profitability and ensure SoundCloud’s long-term viability."

Representatives for SoundCloud were not immediately available for comment.
