When Your Summer Romance Turns Sour, Play This World-Weary Love Song

Listen to a tumultuous psych-pop jam from U.K. artist Yellow Days.

August 09, 2017

Yellow Days is a teenager from Surrey, in the south of the U.K., who sings with a world-weariness beyond his years. Reminiscent of the scratchy surfaces of Wu Lyf, or the angrier intonations of King Krule, it's a powerfully emotive sound that he amplifies with tripped-out psychedelic electronics on his new single "Hurt In Love." In an email to The FADER, he explained, "'Hurt in Love' is about the pain you cause one another when you're in love. The emotional abuse and darkness of love and what it can do." Listen below, and look out for his new project Is Everything OK In Your World? this fall.
