Lorde debuted six new videos on Wednesday, all of them stripped-down versions of Melodrama tracks The singer returned to Electric Lady Studios, where the album was recorded, to perform new versions of "Homemade Dynamite," "Hard Feelings/Loveless," "Supercut," "Sober," "The Louvre," and "Writer in the Dark."
In an introductory video, Lorde explains that why it was important for her to return to the historic studio where she recorded her album. "I don't really do acoustic sessions or anything, but with this record, it had roots in acoustic instruments, in live musicianship," she said. "I felt like the songs deserved to be pulled apart in certain ways."
