Marilyn Manson has had a huge influence across genres, especially in the world of rap. Most recently, Manson has found a young protege in Lil Uzi Vert, who has spoken about his love for Manson and even payed homage to the singer with a diamond chain.

During a recent interview with Zane Lowe, Manson discussed meeting Uzi for the first time and his perspective on the new wave of rappers.

"I’m at this hotel and I’m having dinner with Rick Ross, who said his dream is to work with me," Manson explained. "He ghosted me a bit. But the same night, I hung out with Lil Uzi after we had talked. And we talked a lot. He ghosted me also. I don’t know if by the time this airs, he will have still ghosted me."

"He said he wanted me to help him find older women," Manson continued. "I said everyone is older than you because you just turned 22." Manson also responded to Uzi's comments from his own recent interview with Zane Lowe, during which he called Manson "annoying," saying that he doesn't like to answer FaceTime calls.

Manson told Lowe that he likes Luv Is Rage 2 more than its predecessor: "The first one, I saw the potential in him because he had this attitude that reminded me of me when I was his age. I don’t want to sound aged by saying that, it just sounded like what needed to happen. But it wasn’t fully formed."
