Tay-K (real name Taymor Travon McIntyre) will face a second murder charge, according to a report from My San Antonio. XXL confirmed the report with Tarrant County Jail on Friday.

The new charge is unrelated to the murder case McIntyre is currently awaiting trial for — the murder of 21-year-old Ethan Walker, who was killed on July 27, 2016 during a home invasion. The new case surrounds the death of Mark Anthony Saldivar, a 23-year-old man who was shot and killed on April 23, 2017 outside of a San Antonio Chick-fil-A following an argument with four individuals inside of a black SUV. Police claim that McIntyre was inside of the vehicle at the time of the shooting, and that surveillance footage of the incident exists.

Tay-K achieved online stardom after dropping a music video for his song "The Race." The clip was allegedly filmed after McIntyre had ditched a hearing in the Walker murder case, and features a shot of McIntyre next to what appears to be a wanted poster of himself. McIntyre was arrested in New Jersey in June 2017 and is currently being held at the Tarrant County Jail. According to the Fort Worth Star Telegram, sources in law enforcement claimed that McIntyre was suspected in Saldivar's death before his arrest.

McIntyre faces two counts of capitol murder and one count of aggravated robbery, according to the jail's website. The latter charge stems from an attack on 65-year-old Skip Pepe, who police claim McIntyre and a friend beat and robbed while McIntyre was on the run. He will be tried as an adult in Walker's shooting and in the Pepe incident.

"The Race" has been viewed 64 million times on YouTube and has peaked at number 44 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The FADER has reached out to McIntyre's attorney for comment.
