In an essay published Thursday in the New York Times, actress Lupita Nyong’o shared a detailed account of her relationship with Harvey Weinstein. In her piece, Nyong’o detailed one account where he led her to his hotel room and requested a massage. These actions from Weinstein are typical of many of the allegations of women coming forward saying the movie mogul led them to private hotel rooms before making intimate requests. Weinstein has been accused of sexual conduct by over four dozen women.

Nyong’o talks about later turning down a role by Weinstein, and the complexity of the Hollywood when it comes to abuse in the industry. “Our business is complicated because intimacy is part and parcel of our profession,” she wrote. “Precisely because of this we must stay vigilant and ensure that the professional intimacy is not abused.”

Since New York Times first broke the news of the Weinstein allegations almost two weeks ago, he has been removed from his company and The Academy.
