Get Out is nominated for four Oscars

Including a nomination for Best Picture.

Get Out is among the most-nominated movies at this years Academy Awards. Jordan Peele's directorial debut is up for four awards at the 2018 ceremony, due to be held in Hollywood on March 4.

The movie is nominated for Best Picture alongside Call Me by Your Name, Darkest Hour, Dunkirk, Lady Bird, Phantom Thread, The Post, The Shape of Water, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

Jordan Peele is up for Best Director in a category with Paul Thomas Anderson, Guillermo del Toro, Greta Gerwig, and Christopher Nolan.

Gerwig, nominated for Lady Bird, is only the fifth woman director to be nominated for the award in Oscars history.

Meanwhile, Daniel Kaluuya will compete in the Leading Actor category. In a tough contest he faces Timothee Chalamet, Daniel Day-Lewis, Gary Oldman, and Denzel Washington.

Peele is just the third person in history to earn nominations in three major categories in their directorial debut. He is also only the fifth black director to earn a best director nomination in Oscar history.

Get Out's fourth nomination is in the category of Original Screenplay. Jordan Peele's script is nominated alongside those of The Big Sick, Lady Bird, The Shape Of Water, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
