Listen to Half Waif’s new single “Keep It Out”

Half Waif is the solo project of Nandi Rose Plunkett. Her undulating, synth-tinged songs often traverse the imaginative stretch between electro pop and alt rock. Over the past few months, she's been touring with Julien Baker and Iron and Wine, and she'll tour with Mitski this coming spring.

Today, she's announced her new album Lavender, which will be released on April 27 via Cascine. She also dropped the first single from the project, "Keep It Out," a simmering number which Plunkett describes as "about the evolution of the self in a relationship: the maintenance of autonomy in the midst of a process of coupling, aging, and decay.” Watch the theatrically choreographed video for "Keep It Out" below.
