U.K. producer Daniel Avery’s new video is a beautiful vanishing act

Watch the electronic artist's new “Slow Fade” visual.

British producer Daniel Avery always creates unique and moving worlds with his synth-heavy, atmospheric electronic music. His new video for "Slow Fade" matches this feat. Directors Flat-e capture a virtual glass sculpture, created in their north London studio, as it dissipates over time.

With no sense of scale to the structure, the visual makes for a disorientating yet soulful watch as the details in the distortion become ever clearer as it dissolves into nothing. The video, premiering on The FADER, can be seen above.

Speaking about the clip via email, Avery told The FADER: "The thing I admire about Flat-e is that they recognize the beauty in mystery. They create worlds into which you can fall with your eyes closed."

"Slow Fade" is the first track to be taken from Avery's upcoming album Song For Alpha, due for release on April 6 via Phantasy worldwide and Phantasy/Mute in North America. He is also touring Europe and north America from this month.
