Should Jimmy Kimmel ever tire of hosting to Oscars then there is a ready made replacement in the shape of Tiffany Haddish. The comic and Girls Trip actress proved to be a highlight of this year's ceremony last month, where she presented an award alongside Maya Rudolph. Fans were soon clamoring to see her given a bigger role next year.

Speaking on a panel at SXSW in Austin, Texas this week Haddish seemed to agree. “I would love to do something like that. I know my father would be extremely proud if I got to do that… As long as I get a pay check!” Vulture quotes her saying at the premiere of Tracy Morgan’s new show, The Last O.G. on Monday.

Speaking about Oscars night 2018, Haddish added: “In my mind, Maya and I, we were auditioning for the ultimate job – because I thought were getting paid for that presentation. When I found out that we weren’t getting paid, I was like, ‘Well, I heard about gift bags.’ And then it was like ‘We don’t have no gift bags,’ and I was like, ‘Well what do I get?’ They were like, ‘We’ve got a bottle of wine that’s like thirteen dollars.’ So I got the wine.”

The future remains to be seen. However, should she get to ever host the Oscars, we all know what Tiffany will wear on the night.
