21 Savage has stuck by Drake ever since the two rappers collaborated on the 2016 song "Sneakin." The Atlanta artist called Drake "a genuine person" in 2017, and went further in a recent profile with GQ.
When asked about the Ferrari 21 said Drake had bought him in October 2016, 21 clarified that he had purchased one himself, “But Drake brought me one for my birthday to ride around L.A."
That gift, 21 said, was the sole present he received. "He the only one that got me something for my birthday that year," 21 told GQ. "Don’t nobody else get me shit but Drake.”
21 went on to point out Drake's support for emerging hip-hop artists. “He did a lot of shit he didn’t have to do. He do a lot of shit for up-and-coming rappers, period. I don’t think he get his respect for that. Every fuckin’ year, he pull a new artist up. Ain’t no other artist on his level do that shit.”
According to GQ 21 Savage is working on a new project that "will include R&B elements." Drake will release his new album Scorpion on June 29. Watch the music video for "Sneakin'" below.
