2017 was a big year for Yves Tumor: the Tennessee-born experimental artist remixed Ryuichi Sakamoto’s “Zure,” and dropped a great collection Experiencing The Deposit Of Faith (which contained “My Nose My Lips Your Head Shape,” one of the best songs of the year). Oh yeah, he also signed to Warp Records, and on Wednesday we got the first stunning fruit of that union, a propulsive song called "Noid." Tumor's lo-fi paranoia, a recurring fixture in his crafted loops, gets a polished sheen and prominent placement in the new song's haunting vocals. The look suits him very, very well. Listen to "Noid" above.
