Rostrum Records is trying to clear career-making mixtapes from Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller for streaming services, Eric “E. Dan” Dan of ID Labs told Genius in a recent interview.

The label released fan-favorite projects like Khalifa's Kush & Orange Juice and Miller's K.I.D.S.. Miller's Macadelic project found its way for sale and streaming in May, and Dan says that's just the beginning. “At this point, Rostrum is basically going back and trying to release all of [Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller’s] mixtapes to streaming, or as many as they can, for obvious reasons,” E. Dan said.

However, the label has had difficulty tracking down some of the original contributors: “They’re realizing is that the longer they wait, the harder it is to get clearances from everybody involved," Dan said. "The more time that goes by, the harder it is to find those people."

Thanks to the dual challenges of locating contributors and clearing samples, there's no timeline on when the releases will be available online.

Wiz Khalifa recently shared his album Rolling Papers II and Mac Miller will soon return with a new project called Swimming.
