Demi Lovato has released a statement after being hospitalized for a reported overdose more than two weeks ago. In the statement, Lovato said she'll be taking some time to focus on her sobriety and recovery.

"I want to thank God for keeping me alive," the singer said in the statement, which was posted to her Instagram account.

Lovato also thanks her fans, family and the team at Cedars-Sinai for their support.

Prior to being hospitalized in July, the singer released a song, "Sober," revealing that she'd relapsed after six years of sobriety.
