For Drake's latest trick, the OVO lead man headed down to New Orleans to film the music video for his smash hit "In My Feelings," this time, making sure to include Big Freedia after not having the N.O. bounce legend appear in the visual for "Nice For What" (despite using a bounce-inspired breakdown which utilized her vocals).

On Monday, Freedia shared with TMZ that she initially reached out to Drake in order be in the music video. She explained that she messaged Drake asking why he didn't tell her that he was in the NOLA, to which he responded, "I just got here."

"I decided to hit him up myself and was like, 'Why you didn't let me know you were in New Orleans?'" Freedia shared with TMZ. "And he was like, 'I just got here. Why don't you come through? We're shooting a video tonight. I want you to get a few cameos.' So I did that."

Freedia carried on explaining that she is still appreciative of Drake and that this sort of makes up for her not being in "Nice For What." In addition, the New Orleans native shared that this was a positive step in moving hip-hop towards a more inclusive atmosphere.

"It's definitely a step in the right direction. I think that other artists out there should feel the same way, that no matter what your background is—no matter if you're a gay artist—that we can be able to be there just as anyone else."
