Frank Ocean's 2016 album Blonde was certified platinum in July, meaning it had hit 1 million sales. Being a man who likes to keep a low profile he hasn't yet publicly acknowledged his achievement, nor did he turn up to accept the plaque that goes along with the certification. Instead, he passed that honor over to his mom, Katonya Breaux. She documented her meeting with the music distribution team Stem via Instagram. See her pictures above.

Ocean's previous album, Channel Orange, achieved gold status in 2013. Earlier this year Frank Ocean fans finally got hold of physical copies of 2016's Endless while he also appeared on both Travis Scott and A$AP Rocky's new albums.
