It's been an interesting 48 hours for rappers getting stuff thrown at them while performing. Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd took a phone to the face during a show in Dallas, and now video has emerged of a fan at a Lil Uzi Vert show throwing what looks like a Bible onto the stage as the rapper gets into his hit “XO Tour Llif3.” For a rapper who once told an audience he was taking them all to hell, Uzi seemed to appreciate the gesture, laughing and pretending to read from the good book while he performed like a slightly more trustworthy preacher. In an added layer of irony, Uzi was wearing Sacai's New York Times "Truth" shirt, which is covered in mantras about the importance of being honest.
