On Thursday, Kanye West sat down for an interview with DJ Pharris on Chicago's Power 92 Radio, as Complex points out. The two discussed a number of topics, including Kanye's ambitions for the U.S. presidency, which he initially declared at the 2015 VMAs. When asked if he was still "seriously considering" a run, Kanye responded "Yes, 100% could happen [in 2024]." He also revealed a possible name for his own independent party he'd run under: The Birthday Party.

Kanye gave a few hints to the kind of president he'd be without going into any detailed policy explanations. He reiterated his support of Donald Trump's economic policies ("Trump ain't fuckin' up the paper") while insisting he doesn't agree with all of his policies. He also touched on healthcare, a top concern of voters: "I'm going to make sure the medical industry flourishes," he said, adding that Malcolm X, Gandhi, and Martin Luther King Jr. were all assassinated because "they were so righteous and so liberal that they fuckin' up the paper. If you fuckin' up the paper your head gon' get knocked off."

The interview is Kanye's second in two days. On Wednesday, he appeared on 107.5 WGCI Chicago.
