It's a little-known secret that Mahershala Ali has got bars. The Oscar winner prefers to keep the focus on his acting work these days but back in the early part of his career he used to rap under the name Prince Ali. During an appearance at Toronto's Film Festival this week, Ali was called upon to show off his flow during an interview to promote new movie Green Book, in which he plays a classical pianist on tour through the 1960s American South. Ali delivered an on-the-spot verse that suggests he might be next in line for that EGOT. Check out his moment in the spotlight courtesy of host Amanda Parris below.

Ali's next major role will be as the new lead in HBO's True Detective. The show returns for third season in January 2019. Check out the first trailer here.
