Lil Wayne will share an announcement with his fans on September 25 at 5 p.m., the rapper tweeted on Tuesday. Check it out below.
Wayne's tweet comes nearly two weeks after he shared the cover art for his long-delayed project, Tha Carter V. The album was held in limbo for years as legal battles were waged between Wayne and Birdman, founder of Cash Money Records, Wayne's former label. Their disputes were resolved in court this summer, and the two reconciled onstage at Wayne's Lil Weezyana Festival, opening the door for Tha Carter V's release.
No official release date for Tha Carter V has yet been announced. Upon the release of the project's cover art, many speculated that it would drop on September 21, but that date came and went without any trace of new music.
