Kanye says he accepts Tha Carter V will beat his new album to No. 1

Lil Wayne announced this week that his long-awaited album Tha Carter V will be released on September 27 at midnight. It's one of two big rap releases this week, the other being Kanye West's project YANDHI, out the evening of September 29. On Twitter, West claimed that he's fine with Wayne's album beating his to No. 1. "We know it will come in number 2 to my brother Lil Wayne and that’s lovely," he wrote. "The universe needs Ye and Wayne music at the same time." Read his full tweet below

Kanye West's last album ye was released June 1. It debuted at No. 1 with 208,000 equivilant albums.
