Back in March, we billed soulful singer Amber Mark as "crazy underrated." She's continued to deliver steady hits since then with her May EP Conexão, and a duet with D.R.A.M., called "Put You On," just last month. She's back again today with a cover for W Records new singles label. The first of her two tracks for the label is a cover of Kings Go Forth's "High On Your Love." Her take adds groovier vibes to the already smooth track.
Streaming royalties from the track will benefit The Rose, an organization that aims to bring "quality breast cancer health services, advocacy and access to care for all."
In an email to The FADER, the singer explained why she covered this song. “‘High on Your Love’ was chosen because I've always wanted to cover it,” she said. “I first heard it a few years ago when a manager of my parents’ restaurant played it to me. I've always wanted to make a sort of dance version of it. Hopefully, I accomplished that.”
