Tina Turner's life and career will reportedly be the subject of an upcoming Broadway play, The New York Times reports. The show is set to debut in New York in fall of 2019, and is written by playwrights Katori Hall, Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins. Tina has already been running in London, and will also kick off in Hamburg before coming Stateside next year. The show's producers — a European company named Stage Entertainment — have yet to confirm a date, venue or a cast for the Broadway show. Tina Turner is also associated with the play, as per the Times.
Tina: The Tina Turner Musical is directed by Phyllida Lloyd, and will debut next fall.
